Rev. Fr. Christuraj James, the Founder of the Society of the Holy SpiritOur renowned founder Rev. Fr. Christuraj James, a bonafide Catholic Priest. He was ordained Priest for the society of the Divine Word (SVD) in 1990. His love for preaching the Word of God, continues to transform many lives, his inital work at Toopran, Sangareddy of Arch Diocese of Hyderabad inspirited him to start Divine Word Centre at Muthangi in 1994. Ensuing our Lord’s plan he started Divine Mercy Centre at Habsiguda, Home for the poor children at Muthangi and HIV/AIDS Children home namely Rakshana Deepam at Moinabad in the year 1996. he worked as the dean of Sangareddy during the year 1998 – 2008.
By the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, on 11th April, 2010 the Society of the Holy Spirit was erected by Most Rev. Thumma Bala Archbishop of Hyderabad, then Bishop of Warangal, he became the first patron of the Society of the Holy Spirit. Rev. Fr. Christuraj became the founder of the Society and Most Rev. Govindu Joji is the current Patron of the Society of the Holy Spirit.
Our Founders Reflection:
Inspired by God, I started the Holy Spirit Retreat Centre at Moinabad in 2010. Today the centre attracts the Catholics, Christians and non-Christians for its programmes. The ministry of preaching the Word, deliverance, retreats, healing and counselling ministries are held here.
